Rant, not an Update.

Okay people, this isn't so much of a "talking about books I've read" it's more of a "rant about an author everyone thinks is good but I think is over rated" The author in question today is John Green. Now, before we(I) begin, I have to say, John Green is a good author but I do not believe he is as good as everyone claims him to be. Granted, I've only read two books by him (Looking for Alaska and The Fault in Our Stars). The books were good, nothing more. In fact, The Fault in Our Stars compared to Looking for Alaska is like comparing call of duty games, The same thing with a different skin on it. Now, John Green was ruined for me in a way that movies are ruined for people; one of my friends told me that Looking for Alaska is so wonderful and would not shut up about it and practically forced me to read it. SO, because she said so many good things about it, I was expecting a lot, and I was thoroughly let down by the book. It was, like I said, good. Nothing more.
Okay, I'm going to talk about how Looking for Alaska and The Fault in Our Stars are very similar. Character  meets the love interest and life is completely flipped around, has fling with love interest till love interest dies near the end of the book, then they show life after the love interest dies at the end of the book. That was the concept in both of those books. Also every single one of his books involve romance. You do not need romance to make a book good.
OKAY. That was my rant. Next time'll be of books. PEACE.
